Volunteering is at the heart of our church. ♥
If you would like to get involved with helping Sunday services run smoothly, take a look at the different ways you can lend your talents.
READERS
Scripture passages and appeals for Mission & Service are read aloud each week by a member of the congregation. If you would like to be a part of the service in this way, watch for a sign up sheet that goes around at the beginning of service every few months.
GREETERS/USHERS
Greeters welcome the community into the space on Sunday mornings. Members both new and old are helped to feel at home, and are provided with bulletins and assistance as needed. Contact Fran Jackson or Lorraine Bloye to volunteer.
COFFEE SERVICE
Worship is followed each Sunday by fellowship in the foyer. Coffee and tea are provided and helpers are needed each week to make this happen. Look for the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the foyer to volunteer to help with the simple preparations and clean up afterwards.
POWERPOINT & SOUND
Training and a small stipend are available to those willing to run the PowerPoint show and sound system during service.
CANDLE LIGHTING
Lighting the Christ candle (Advent, Lent candles) for the beginning of each Worship Service.
COMMUNION PREPARATION & SERVING
Helpers organize juice and bread and assist the minister serving for our communion services.
BAPTISM
The members of the Prayer Shawl group assist the minister in Baptism ceremonies.
SANCTUARY DECOR
Volunteer members take care of the decor of our sanctuary through the changing seasons of the church calendar.
